Arnhem Land Eco-Cultural Tours is proudly owned and operated by Bawinanga Aboriginal Corporation in Maningrida. Presently available are three one day tailored package tours into the heart of Arnhem Land offering a rare cultural experience amidst a spectacular diversity of landscapes.

Your tour will take you through a totally pristine environment of rocky escarpment, sprawling flood plains, savannah woodlands, meandering river systems and costal expanses. Your exclusive guides are the Traditional Owners of this unique country.

 You will visit ancient rock art sites, have a chance to spear a fish, gather bush tucker and bush medicine, and learn about the production of Aboriginal Art in this part of Arnhem land. The tour also includes a visit to the Maningrida Arts and Culture (MAC) gallery as well as the Djomi Museum.

MAC offers a stunning array of artworks for purchase such as Bark Paintings, Fibre Sculptures, Baskets, and Instruments. The Djomi Museum is Maningrida’s cultural Keeping Place where you will see examples of Art and Material Culture. The Museum also houses an intriguing photographic collection.

Your guides through the bush, the gallery and museum are Aboriginal people and are the Traditional Owners who take pleasure in showing you their country and telling you about their land, their culture and art of the region.
