Stuart Atkin Yirawara is a local resident of Maningrida and Traditional Owner of Gu-panga (Blyth River Mouth). A guide in Arnhem Land for 8 years and former Sea Ranger co-ordinator, Stuart is currently a senior guide for Arnhem Land Eco-Cultural Tours and specialises in bird watching and traditional hunting tours.

In Stuart’s country keep a particular eye out for the Hooded Parrot, the Red Goshawk and the Northern Rosella.
Stuart’s intimate knowledge of his country is unparalleled. You will be amazed by his gift for spotting even the most elusive birds, and charmed by his warm personality and sense of humour.

Leila Nimbadja lives on her Outstation at Djinkarr and her Homelands include the spectacular Tomkinson Floodplain. Leila has been guiding people for 5 years and works in the Maningrida Nursery.
A senior guide, Leila specialises in bush tucker, bush medicine and bird watching.

In Leila’s country keep an eye out for the Northern Shrike-Tit, White-Lined Honeyeater and the sought after Gouldian Finch. This is one of the few places that can almost guarantee a Gouldian.
